RULES AND REGULATIONS
Conduct of persons within the Free Home Cemetery
The Free Home Cemetery (Cemetery) grounds
will be open from dawn to dusk.
The owners of the Cemetery and the Free
Home Cemetery Foundation shall not be held liable for any injuries sustained by anyone while visiting the Cemetery.
All persons are prohibited from any
disrespectful use of the Cemetery grounds.
All persons are prohibited from gathering
flowers, either wild or cultivated, breaking or cutting trees, shrubbery, or plants, or defacing or otherwise damaging monuments or other structures.
AUTOMOBILES SHALL NOT EXCEED A SPEED OF 15
MPH WHEN DRIVEN THROUGH THE GROUNDS.
No sign,
notices, or advertisements of any kind shall be allowed in the cemetery.
IT IS DISTINCTLY UNDERSTOOd THAT SAID LAND IS TO BE
USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE BURIAL Of NOT MORE THAN TWO REMAINS PER GRAVE SITE WHETHER EMBALMED OR CREMATED.
BEFORE A BURIAL A FAMILY AND THE SENIOR GROUNDS
VICE PRESIDENT OF THE FOUNDATION OR HIS/HER REPRESENTATIVE MUST LOCATE GRAVESITES. THE FAMILY OR FUNERAL DIRECTOR IS REQUIRED TO CONTACT THE SENIOR GROUNDS VICE PRESIDENT OR HIS/HER
REPRESENTATIVE, TO MARK THE SITES FOR DIGGING AND STONE PLACEMENT. ALL MONUMENTS, HEADSTONES, AND OTHER STRUCTURES AND ALL WRITTEN MATTER MUST BE APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE SENIOR GROUNDS VICE
PRESIDENT OR THE FOUNDATION, OR HIS/HER REPRESENTATIVE, AT LEAST SEVEN (7) DAYS PRIOR TO INSTALLATIONS.
Concrete
or metal vaults are required for full interments.
The Secretary of the Foundation shall keep
records of all burials and installations of monuments & headstones.
The Senior gROUNDS Vice President of the
Foundation, or in his/her absence, his/her representative, is hereby empowered to enforce all Rules and Regulations, and shall have supervision and control of all persons within the Cemetery,
including the conduct of funerals, traffic, visitors and employees.
Machinery will not be allowed to dig
graves within Free Home Cemetery.
Special cases may arise in which the
literal enforcement of a Rule and Regulation may impose unnecessary hardship. The Trustees of the Foundation reserve the right, without notice, to make exceptions, suspensions, or modifications in
any of these Rules and Regulations when it seems advisable. Such temporary exception, suspension or modification shall in no way be construed affecting the general application of such Rules and
Regulations.
